Edible Rose Ice Spheres
These fresh floral ice spheres are sure to be a hit at any celebratory gathering and can be tailored to fit the occasion! They can be incorporated into a fancy cocktail or used to chill champagne/beverages.
All you need is a round ice mold (or any large ice cube tray), edible fresh flowers, and water. You can check out my Reel on Instagram for a visual on making them. I decided to use an aging bouquet of roses leftover from Mother’s Day to give them a second life.
When you’re ready to remove the ice cubes, run luke warm water over the top and bottom of the ice cube maker to allow the sphere to loosen inside. Pull lid off and the ice ball should easily detach from the tray.
These would make a beautiful addition to a baby shower, engagement party, or backyard party!
Did you know roses are full of antioxidants and vitamin C? Buying organic flowers is always ideal when adding to drinks or foods. Here’s a list of edible flowers that can also be used in making flower ice balls:
Bachelor’s Button
Carnation
Chamomile
Chrysanthemum
Dianthus
Dahlia
Hibiscus
Nasturtium
Lavender
Pansy
Strawberry flowers (or the berry!)
Viola
Violets
