The beauty in this sort of group activity is that everyone goes home with a sweet treat, learns a new skill, and is able to spend quality time together. A cake party can be tailored to fit the bride’s taste and be as simple or as extravagant as desired. I recommend finding a local baker who offers classes for the ease of throwing a large party. Maybe a leisurely picnic with her besties is more the bride’s tempo. A simple picnic can transform into something unique with a little extra attention to detail. I recommend doing a little research in your area to find an oasis to hold this sort of a gathering. Botanical gardens, lakes, and hidden estates are great options. Next, I’d plan a menu featuring easy to eat foods, A floral cocktail or mocktail and serve with floral ice spheres or dainty tea cups. Throw pillows, soft blankets, a small table, and fresh florals are welcomed accessories. Yard games such as cornhole are also fun elements to add to the day.

In beach towns, beach picnics are a trend that doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon. If you’re located near the ocean or a large lake, chances are there’s a company that specializes in luxury picnics. They’ll set up and tear down leaving it a seamless and no-fuss sort of affair! Moonfly Events, in Hampton Roads, is a fantastic company that will leave you speechless with their attention to detail and professionalism. You’ll want to put some thought into adding a charcuterie board (homemade or preordered), a boutique style cake, and some bubbly to serve. Ordering takeout from a local restaurant and having it delivered is also an option in some areas. Lastly, don’t forget to bring a portable speaker and favorite playlist!
